New online filing system


On 24 November 2025, Kenya’s Industrial Property Institute (KIPI) launched a new online filing platform for national industrial property applications, enabling users to file and make payment for the following national applications entirely online:
- patent,
- industrial design
- utility model applications

Previously, certain filings required physical documentation, which often led to procedural delays. The new online platform now offers real time access and integrated electronic payments, aligning Kenya’s practices with international standards and advancing KIPI’s broader efficiency initiatives.
