IP Office opens first fully digital office In La Paz

Bolivia’s National Intellectual Property Service (SENAPI) has opened a fully digital office in the Irpavi district of La Paz, marking a significant step in the country’s effort to modernise public administration and reduce paper-based procedures. Operating under a “zero paper” model, the new branch allows intellectual property filings to be processed digitally, with online payments and on-site support for users where needed.

The initiative is intended to simplify procedures, reduce bottlenecks and improve access to trade mark, patent, industrial design and copyright services. As the first entity within the ministry to function entirely through a digital workflow, the Irpavi office could become an important model for further digital transformation in Bolivia’s IP system, provided it delivers real gains in efficiency, reliability and user access.
