Turkish Patent Institute Introduces New Official Fees

With the Communiqué no: 2011/1, the Turkish Patent Institute accepted a new official fee tariff which has come into effect as of December 31st, 2010 and will be in effect through 2011.
With this change, the official fees of any trademark related matter are reduced between 7- 50%. Also, according to the new tariff, the official fees for “recordal of change of address”, “pledging the trademark as a security”, “removal of license, pledge or security” and “abandonment of a trademark” are abolished. Beside a significant reduction in official fees, the Turkish Patent Institute has changed the fee system of the trademark applications. Before the change, the Institute determined the trademark application fees for one class- two classes- three classes and for each additional class after third class. read more
